Setting up a website
This is the first website I have made since I was in middle school in 2003 on GeoCities, and a lot has changes in the 21 years since my last attempt. I wonder if it would be possible to find my old site on the internet archives and compare my site from then to now. Right now this site doesn't look very impressive, but I don't have much time to work on it with school and work taking up the majority of my day. It is fun to create a place that allows me to express myself in a genuine way, and I want to make more time for this. One day, I hope to have this set up as a repository for all of the information that an employer might want to see about me in the hiring process.
The first ting that I plan to work on is fleshing out the portfolio section with more information about my home lab projects. Right now it just functions as a list of things that I claim to have accomplished, but there is no proof to back up those claims. I am immensely proud of all of the work I have done on my home lab, and cannot wait to show it off in a more concrete fashion. My next project would make an excellent addition to my website functionally, as well as be a callback to one of the most common additions to a website from GeoCities. I'm planning on setting up my own private search engine using SearXNG, and I feel that putting it onto my website would be a good display of my skills.
Well, I need to get back to homework for now. I plan on keeping this updated at least once a week, so if anyone is interested, you can look out for more of this in the future!
